Students from the Colegio de Sta. Catalina de Alejandria
(COSCA) bested the other entries in the 4th Rice is Life cookfest at
the Robinson’s Mall Dumaguete last Sunday, held as part of the 61st
founding anniversary of Foundation University.
The COSCA team joined the annual cookfest for the first
time. Gunther Sanin, founder and director of the Dumaguete Academy of Culinary
Arts and owner of Casablanca Restaurant along the boulevard, not only founding
the COSCA team outstanding but he also awarded a team member a tuition fee
scholarship worth P12,000.
The contestants from Silliman University Nutrition &
Dietetics Department placed second and the Negros Oriental state University
College of Tourism & Hospitality Management, 3rd. In the High
School category, the St. Paul University High School, Foundation University
High School, and the San Pedro Academy-Recoletos were chosen first, second and
third runners-up, respectively. |
