Some 150-elected faculty members of the Negros Oriental
State University participated in a four-day seminar workshop on Teaching
Strategies, Assessment & Module Writing that began on April 28 at South Sea
Resort.
The resource persons were from Research & Development
Foundation of the University of the Philippines College of Education in
Diliman: Dr. Jose Q. Pedrajita, Dr. Rosario L. Alonzo, Dr. Norma G. Cajilig,
and Prof. Portia P. Padilla.
The lectures included Research-based teaching Strategties,
Brain-based Research and University Teaching Utilization of Extension in
Enhancing Teaching, Development and Use of Constructed-Response Items,
Alternative Assessment, Rubric Making, and Module Writing.
NORSU’s three vice presidents coordinated the activity: Dr.
Victoria P. Dinopol for Academic Affairs, Dr. Peter T. Dayot for Research,
Extension & International Linkages, Dr. Maria Llona A. Bulado for
Administration & Special Concerns. Dinopol, also dean of the NORSU Graduate
School, was the lead person. NORSU President Dr. Henry A. Sojor gave the
closing remarks during the culmination activity held May 1st. |
