The Department of Interior and Local Government in Sibulan is now accepting applications for the “One Town, One Scholar” scholarship program of Commission on Higher Education together with the DILG.

The program will award a four to five-year scholarship to an incoming college freshman selected by his or her town as its scholar and intends to assure a state university or college education to deserving  public high school graduates from financially hard-pressed families.

To avail of the program, applicant must be a natural-born Filipino citizen residing in Sibulan, a graduating high school student belonging to the top ten of the graduating classs of a public high school in the municipality, with good moral character and sound health.

The combined gross annual income of the applicants to the DILG office in Sibulan with the following documents: proof that the applicant is a bonafides resident of Sibulan, high school report card, certification from the public high school principal that the student belongs to the top ten of the graduating class, Income Tax Return or Tax Exemption Certification of parents or guardians, or its equivalent, certification of good moral character from the school’s registrar and certification of good health from a government physician.
