An outstanding graduate in the field of medicine of Silliman University in Dumaguete City has donated US $25,000 through the United Board for Christian Higher Education in Asia, to establish the professional Chair of Business Administration on Fund at SU, a press release from the school said.

Dr. Eusebio Kho, recipient of the Outstanding Sillimanian Award in 1989, made the donation recently with his wife, Grace Casas Lim-Kho, stressing it was his way of giving back to his Alma Mater. The Khos have been generous to Silliman, having endowed a Chair and Professorship of Surgery at the Silliman University Medical School.

To be known as the “Grace Casas-Lim and Eusebio C. Kho, M.D. Professional Chair for Business Administration,” the grant will be awarded to a faculty member who has demonstrated “academic excellence and scholarship, leadership, moral character, and a strong commitment to teaching, research, and service,” the press release said.

Kho graduated valedictorian from the Silliman University High School in 1952 and later completed “With Highest Honors”, a Pre-Med course from the University in 1955. He finished his degree in medicine from the University of the Philippines College of Medicine.

A successful medical doctor, he has received numerous awards, among which the Twenty Outstanding Filipinos Abroad Award in Washington, DC, in the United States in 2008, the press release added.
