Silliman University in Dumaguete City has been recognized as the top nursing school in the country, a press release from SU said. Commission on Higher Education statistics revealed that the top 20 nursing schools in the country, SU was in the first place with an average of 96.57 percent, the press release said, quoting Manila Bulletin.St. Louis University and Trinity University of Asia ranked second and third, respectively, the press release said. Silliman has bee consistently rating high in the licensure examination for nurses. It has also been successfully designated by CHED as a Center of Excellence in Nursing Education. The article in the Manila Bulletin further discussed in its first part CHED’s warning to 152 of the 456 nursing schools in the country to “shape up or phased out”, highlighting the need to increase their licensure examination passing rates to avoid closure, a press release added. |
