SPIT To Perform At Silliman

Silly People’s Improv Theater, or SPIT, will perform in Dumaguete City on August 15m, in an unscripted comedy titled “SPIT Live in Dumaguete!” as part of the cultural Season of the Silliman University Cultural Affairs Committee.
 
Hotel To Rise In City

An 80-room hotel is expected to rise next year at the Dumaguete Business Park, where Robinsons and Teletech are located, in Dumaguete City, Mayor-elect Manuel Sagarbarria, said.

 
Rescue Group Launched

Dumaguete City now has an emergency medical service and resuce twam that is on call 24/7. The Oriental Negros Rescue ( One Rescue-EMS, Inc.) formally launched the round-the-clock service last Thursday with a demonstration at the Foundation University’s Sofia Soller-Cinco Hall.

 
Balanan Lake Grosses P2.2 Million

Dumaguete Named A New Regional ‘Child – Friendly’ City

Dumaguete City has again bagged the Presidential Award for Child-Friendly City in the component city category for the year 2009 at the annual regional research. This is the fourth consecutive year that Dumaguete was given this, Jacequelin Flores of the City Social Welfare and Development Office said.
