Dumaguete’s very own Sans Rival Cakes and Pastries has been chosen as one of the 24 top dessert makers in the Philippines for its meringue torte with buttercream filling, popularly known  Sans Rival. The distinction was bestowed on Sans Rival last week at the Atrium of the SM Mall of Asia by the Philippine Daily Inquirer, which chose 24 top desserts in the Philippines to celebrate its 24th anniversary.

3,500 join Dumaguete Adventure Marathon Print

The resonant boom from giant firecrackers followed by a 15-minute fireworks show at 5:30 am broke the silence of Dumaguete City’s Rizal Boulevard on Nov. 22 to send some 3,500 competitive and fun runners on their feet for the first-ever Dumaguete Adventure Marathon which organizers and participants hailed as a successful event.
